So, construction is way more stressful than it would seem. I forgot how much energy is expended just knowing that there are strangers in your house all day. Then there's the mess, the sudden expensive discoveries, the expense, period and the last-minute decisions that have to be made. Add a nervous little beast and a house guest you'd love to take to Manhattan but simply can't, and I'm plain beat.
That's not even talking about the night that our radiators all started spewing water simultaneously.
So I'm going to go to yoga this afternoon with the intention of a clean start, a weekend to relax and recover. Hopefully I'll find a new way to mentally approach this renovation and make it through the final stages.
If that doesn't work, I'm going to stare at this site for six hours straight.
